My Thoughts:
I can't not recommend a book that makes me laugh! This historical Christian fiction is not only humorous and romantic, its clever and well written. Georgie's career as a switchboard operator was entertaining and realistic. After working at a call center, I have had a taste of what people will say over the phone! I can't imagine being an operator in a town where everyone knows you. This novel was hard to put down and flowed well. I enjoyed the characters who were well developed and likable. Though I personally couldn't relate to the heroine and her love of birds, I did enjoy the romance between Georgie and Luke.
Though I'm not a western type of gal, I can appreciate a good, well written, thought out story from that era. Love on the Line is just that! It's sweet, funny, romantic, historical and interesting. The characters are well developed and entertaining. They are the type you can imagine being friends with despite their flaws or annoyances. The story made me feel as if it truly could have happened which is always great!
