Synopsis
In Ten Beach Road, Madeline Singer, Avery Lawford and Nikki Grant each arrive to Pass-a-Grille, FL desperate for a second chance. Their trusted financial manager has vanished–along with all of their life savings–and left them with nothing but co-ownership of the rundown property that is Ten Beach Road.

Madeline is struggling with an unemployed husband, ailing mother-in-law and irresponsible children, Avery has lost both her marriage and her career, and Nikki is still reeling from the betrayal of the one person she thought she could trust. Yet just as the women are reinventing themselves and beginning to believe in the power of their friendship and second chances, their secrets once again threaten to destroy everything they have built.

Review
Wendy Wax has done it again! I thoroughly enjoyed Ten Beach Road and all of her colorful and strong willed characters. Wax consistently brings characters of essence and natural ability to her novels. Her characters are never weak, but rather bring forth the strength of women. The storyline was very original. When I finished the book, I was sad to see that I was in my living room instead of on the beach at Bella Flora. I was most certainly not ready to stop reading about some of the hunky male characters this novel holds.

Wendy does a wonderful job telling the individual stories of Madeline, Avery and Nikki. The novel starts with Madeline and then moves through the personal stories of the women before bringing the novel together as the women all arrive at Bella Flora, the mansion they now co-own. The characters are wonderful. I enjoyed getting know each one of them as well as watch them as they grow and discover their inner talents and strength. For these women the journey really does begin at the destination.

Ten Beach Road is the perfect beach read! Wax shows her love for the beach and all it holds through this tale. It was a wonderful mix of real life drama and the beach life. I read this novel quickly. It was addictive. I found myself cheering these women on as they tackled a major project and re-built the life they had taken from them, knowing it doesn’t define them and coming out on the other side stronger and happier. Ten Beach Road displays a beautiful story of friendship, courage and devotion that engulfs the reader and leaves you satisfied in the end.
